Managing People

Managing the people that I connect with is starting to become a problem. (Not the people I talk to often, but the other ones that I have connected with that I don’t talk to as frequently) I am fine with keeping all of their names and information in some sort of address book. In this address book I could keep notes on our conversations and what the connection is between us. But the problem is that they can not see the address book. This means that they do not know our connection or can not see our past conversations. My main concern are the problems this leads to down the road. When I attempt to contact someone in a couple years that I only talked to through email a couple times, will they remember? There is a good chance that they won’t and then a valuable connection I made in the past is lost.

I can simply find the last email that was sent and click reply. That way they can see what we have said in the past, but that gets messy, you can’t change the subject, and people don’t always scroll down to see all of that. Facebook, Plaxo, and other social networks and tools don’t work well because not everybody uses them. I really enjoy the way Highrise works but not sure how to make it work for what I need.

Any suggestions out there. How can I make this work?
